Schram Consulting was formed in 2021 after a 38-year career with three animal health companies over his career.

Norbrook Animal Health

Steve was previously VP of Sales and Marketing for the America’s for Norbrook starting in 2018. During his tenure with Norbrook, he led seven new generic launches in the North American market.

AgriLabs/Benchmark/VaxLiant Companies

Steve was CEO of AgriLabs® for 23 years until 2017, when he led the exit strategy for the board selling all the companies to Huvepharma in 2017. After joining the company in 1995, he was instrumental in making significant investments in R&D to develop new generic pharmaceuticals and novel biological products. Also, securing licensing deals that included several domestic and international arrangements, leading to successful introductions of new products to the United States marketplace.

In 2014, the company purchased a contract research company, Benchmark Biolabs and co-founded a vaccine adjuvant business VaxLiant.

Syntex Animal Health

Steve began his animal health career in 1983 as a territory manager. Over the next 12 years, Steve held several sales and marketing positions. In his last position as Business Unit Manager for Anthelmintics, he was part of the team that exited the business to Fort Dodge Animal Health in 1995.

Steve earned an BS in animal science from Iowa State University in 1983. Since graduation, Steve has completed several manager programs including Columbia School of Marketing, Purdue University Business School, and 20 years in the Chief Executive Network.

In addition, Steve has served on both non for profit and for-profit boards in the industry and community, including banking, manufacturing, business incubator, business schools and health care.
